We are looking to appoint teaching assistants who have a real passion to support and enable the learning and development of the children and young people at The Kenwood Centre. As part of Becton School and Nexus Multi-Academy-Trust, we provide education for children and young people with EHCPs and a diagnosis or traits of Autism.
This position will appeal to experienced teaching assistants and, in particular, individuals who have other skills to offer like a background in enrichment and wider extra-curricular activities, as we feel these attributes will complement the role well. We are looking for practitioners who have an innovative, energetic and resilient approach to their work and who aren’t afraid to think of new and interesting approaches to the provision and support we offer.
The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and other team members at the Kenwood Centre in Nether Edge, based at Kenwood House (2 Clifford Road, Sheffield, S11 9AQ) and/or Moncrieffe House (9 Moncrieffe Road, Sheffield, S7 1HQ).
Whether you are an experienced teaching assistant who has worked within specialist educational needs or someone who has exceptional vocational skills and a real drive to make a difference in children’s lives, you must be able to provide our children with aspirations and skills for their futures and you must be able to promote an exceptionally positive culture in everything you do.
What you can expect:
• The challenge and opportunity of making a difference everyday: transforming the lives of children and young people
• A thriving environment where you will be supported and encouraged to think and develop in new ways
• An opportunity to join colleagues who will make you proud to be part of our educational provision
• Access to tailored training and professional development through Becton School and Nexus Multi-Academy-Trust
The date of commencement for this post will be 11th October 2021. Interviews will be held as soon as possible after the closing date.
