Training Course Terms and Conditions
1. Training & Conference Booking Terms and Conditions
Becton School is a Special School based in Sheffield. All fees from our training courses to fund our work supporting our children and families to prepare for their next stage of life.
2.1. Payment must be made in full no later than 21 days after an Event booking is made, or immediately on booking if less than 21 days before the Event date. 2.2. If full payment is not received before the Event date, admittance may be refused. 2.3. We reserve the right to reallocate an Event place if fees are not received on time.
3. Transfer Arrangements
Same Event on a different date 3.1. Where there is available space on the same Event on an alternative date, and you have paid in full for your booking, it may be possible to transfer your booking to the new date. This is only permitted once, per delegate. 3.2. If you request a transfer more than 14 calendar days before the date of your original Event an administration fee of 10% of the cost of the Event will be charged for the transfer. 3.3. If you give less than 14 calendar days notice, the administration fee will be 50% of the cost of the Event. 3.4. The administration fee for any transfer must be paid at the time the transfer is confirmed by the Training team. Transfer arrangements will not be held open pending payment. 3.5. Any further transfer requests after the first confirmed and paid for request may be managed as a cancellation and may incur a cancellation charge. Same Event different delegate 3.6. It may be possible to nominate a colleague to attend a booked Event instead of the original delegate. This will be at the discretion of the Training team and verification of the eligibility of the substitute may be required before confirmation of the transfer.
4.1. If you cancel a confirmed booking the following charges will apply: 4.1.1. Cancellation more than 21 calendar days before the Event date, a charge of 10% of the full cost. You will be refunded 90% of the Event cost 4.1.2. Cancellation 21 days or fewer before the Event date, the full cost of the booking will be charged. You will not receive a refund. 4.2. All cancellations must be received in writing or via email to email@example.com and must contain the full booking details including: • organisation name, • booking and delegate contact details and • invoice/receipt number. 4.3. You will receive confirmation of the cancellation and the booking will not be considered cancelled, nor will any refund due be payable, unless you have that confirmation. 4.4. A failure to attend an Event without notice will be considered a cancellation and you will forfeit any refund by failing to give adequate notice.
5. Training Eligibility
If you enrol for an Event where you do not meet the requirements set out on the Event page, you will not be eligible for a refund, so please review the eligibility criteria before booking an Event. Should you have any queries around your eligibility for an Event, please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will be able to help identify whether you meet the requirements.
6. Content of Our Events
We may use case studies or other real-life examples, including personal data as a part of our Event delivery. The details should not be discussed outside of the Event.
7. Updating your details
It is your responsibility to let us know if your contact details change, so please email us (email@example.com) to update us with any changes so that we can contact you about your Event booking.
8. Booking on behalf of others and group booking
When making a group booking or a booking on behalf of others, you verify that all individuals included in the booking have seen and accept these terms and conditions as well as the course-specific terms and conditions included in the booking process, if applicable.
9. Amendments to Events
Becton School reserves the right to change the Event content, timing, speakers, venue at short notice. Becton is not responsible for attendees failure to act on our notification of any changes to an Event, including short notice postponement or cancellation or notification of a new venue.
